Update on our outside space

You may have already noticed that the outside space to the side of the centre has undergone quite a transformation.

Again we’d like to send out a huge thank you to the team from Breedon Denbigh Quarry. Quarry Manager Lee George and colleagues Oli Poole and Dave Bell worked hard clearing out the space last week – it sure was a big challenge to take on after becoming very overgrown.

There’s still a lot of work to do, but we’ll keep you posted on future developments!

Efallai eich bod eisoes wedi sylwi bod y darn allanol wrth ochr y Ganolfan wedi cael cryn drawsnewidiad

Unwaith eto, hoffem anfon diolch enfawr i’r tîm o Chwarel Breedon, Dinbych. Gweithiodd Rheolwr y Chwarel, Lee George a’i gydweithwyr, Oli Poole a Dave Bell (y ddau yn y llun isod), yn galed i glirio’r ardal yr wythnos ddiwethaf – roedd yn sicr yn her fawr i’w derbyn ar ôl i’r planhigion ordyfu’n sylweddol.

Mae llawer o waith i’w wneud o hyd, ond byddwn yn eich hysbysu am ddatblygiadau yn y dyfodol!

Canolfan Eirianfa Centre outside area transformation

We have some exciting news to share! Work is underway this week on our garden area to the side of the community centre and we hope by the summer the space will be well on the way to becoming a relaxing environment for our groups to use.

We would like to say a huge thank you to councillor Pauline Edwards for setting up the contact with Breedon Denbigh Quarry, who are helping to make this all possible. Very kindly some of their employees have volunteered their time and services to clear out the garden area.

We’d particularly like to thank Quarry Manager, Lee George for organising the operation and to Thorncliffe Building Supplies Ltd who have generously donated the skip, which will be used to dispose of the garden rubbish.

We can’t wait to show you the progress being made, so keep an eye out on our Facebook page for updates!

Mae gennym ni newyddion cyffrous i’w rhannu! Mae gwaith ar y gweill yr wythnos hon ar ein gardd wrth ochr y ganolfan gymunedol ac rydym yn gobeithio erbyn yr haf y bydd y gofod ymhell ar ben ffordd i ddod yn amgylchedd ymlaciol i’n grwpiau ei defnyddio.

Hoffem ddiolch yn fawr iawn i’r cynghorydd Pauline Edwards am sefydlu’r cyswllt â Chwarel Dinbych Breedon, sy’n helpu i wneud hyn i gyd yn bosibl. Yn garedig iawn, mae rhai o’u gweithwyr wedi gwirfoddoli eu hamser a’u gwasanaethau i glirio’r ardd.

Hoffem ddiolch yn arbennig i Reolwr y Chwarel, Lee George am drefnu’r ymgyrch ac i Thorncliffe Building Supplies Ltd sydd wedi rhoi’r sgip yn hael, a fydd yn cael ei ddefnyddio i waredu sbwriel yr ardd.

Ni allwn aros i ddangos y cynnydd sy’n cael ei wneud i chi, felly cadwch lygad ar ein tudalen Facebook am ddiweddariadau!

The Screwfix Foundation

In October 2024, Canolfan Eirianfa Centre was awarded £1,000 from The Screwfix Foundation. As a centre we would like to send a special thank you to Denbigh’s Screwfix Branch Manager Jorden Williams for nominating us and to Paige and Beth for stopping by to present the award. We would also like to thank Ollie from STAND NW for accepting the cheque on behalf of the community centre.

The money we have been awarded from The Screwfix Foundation will be going towards some refurbishments inside the centre and we can’t wait to share this with you in 2025.
