The Canolfan Eirianfa Centre (Charity number 1209023) was established in 2006 when it took over the management of what had previously been a Denbighshire County Council Day Care Centre for the elderly.
The charity aims to provide affordable, welcoming spaces for activities which benefit of the inhabitants of Denbigh and its local neighbourhood, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race, or of political, religious, or other opinions.
We are delighted to be able to offer a range of activities delivered through the voluntary, and other organisations, who meet here. They aim to advance education, provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupations.
There are three core strands to our activities, supported by a range of regular user groups:
Arts based: Clwyd Quilters, Denbigh Art Group, Shine Theatre Arts Academy, Denbigh Male Voice Choir, Denbigh Community Choir
Well-being focused: Knit & Natter, North Wales Cottage Garden Society, Early Days Baby Massage, Boccia exercise group, Denbigh & Ruthin Mencap, Denbigh Nature Project, Gateway Club, Slimming World
Tackling social isolation: Age Connect, Anheddau Social Care, Denbigh Church Ladies Guild, Denbigh Local History Society, Merched Y Wawr, STAND North Wales, Versus Arthritis, Vale of Clwyd MIND, North Wales Slot Car Club
We thank you for your support of all these groups and organisations providing valuable services which contribute in a positive way to the health and well-being of our local community.
